The Glades has been picked up for another season in 2011. But those part of the project are still worried about the show dropping off. Apparently the Neilson ratings are still lower than that of Lonestar which we all know was shot out of the sky. For this upcoming season they are taking a new direction by adding a fem fatal to the mix (sweet).
There was also discussion about the unique setting of the series. It's so close to Miami but not quite set there. Instead it's in the lesser seen Broward city. This is one factor keeping them alive, originality. The Glades is attempting things others shows aren't so keep themselves afloat. It would seem that the producers are always trying to add another unconventional element to up the ante. Hopefully it works or they'll join the pile of lost shows Lonestar, My Generation, and Outlaw has.

Lone-Star got Bone-Starred
Turns out FOX's hit show LoneStar was replaced by the TV series Lie To Me. But it was no lie we didn't see this coming. 2 episodes was the laughable running life for this series. Apparently the conspiracy story of a man living alternate lives ISN'T that interesting. Too bad too. It seemed it had all of the elements that make a good show. Attractive actors, interesting in depth conspiracy, violence, etc. It just goes to show you that taking what people like and slamming it together in a crock pot is...well...a CROCK! It doesn't work. There are other episodes of LoneStar that were never aired. There is no saying whether or not they will or will not be shown to the public. For now, they join the many failed TV shows in the "Land of the Lost." I hope this is at least a lesson to these network money guys. Stop making shitty shows...
